I am the fourth daughter in a family of 5.  I was born in Williams Lake, B.C., Canada.  I graduated from Auburn Adventist Academy then attended WWU, but graduated from Andrews University with a B.S.  I later graduated earned my M.Ed from WWU in Special Education.  I have taught at WWVA since 1991.  I enjoy watercolor painting, baking and cooking, knitting and crocheting, swimming and ice-skating.  My husband, Ron and I have a ministry--Second Hope Ministries International,  We travel and send teams to various parts of the world doing basic health training.  Jesus is my Best Friend and I seek to serve Him everyday by making Him real and personal to each of my students.

I love working with students and strive to help each of them experience success.  Each student is unique and may learn differently which may require accommodations and/or modifications.  In addition to teaching AL classes, I work with teachers helping them accommodate students in their classes.  I also work with Walla Walla Community College's vocational program, which allows students to earn credits toward certification.
